Whereas, the Runabout Chronograph Automatic is equipped with the FC-392 calibre providing a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The Runabout Automatic is equipped with the FC-303 calibre that provides a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. The sub-dials at 12, 6, and 9 o’clock marker measure minute, hour, and seconds, respectively. The Runabout Chronograph is equipped with three sub-dials.

The other series inside the Runabout collection is the Runabout Chronograph Automatic. Starting from the Runabout Automatic, the timepiece is fitted with a date window at the 6 o’clock marker and a guilloche dial with Arabic numerals. All the timepieces in the collection are delivered with a miniature replica of a Runabout yacht made with wood. To begin with, the Runabout collection takes its inspiration from the legendary boats by providing the timepieces under the collection with a polished case similar to the Runabout’s polished hull.Īpart from the case, the case back is engraved with the Riva Historical Society’s logo. Since 2009, the Frederique Constant Runabout collection is released with an update every year. In 2009, Frederique Constant decided to join hands with the Riva Historical Society and decided to promote the legacy of Runabouts with their limited edition timepieces.
In order to preserve these boats, the Riva Historical Society was created by Mr Carlo Riva.
These boats attained legendary status with brilliant craftsmanship and timeless designs. Its movement can be admired through the sapphire caseback that reveals its intimacy, and on which is engraved the logo of the RHS (Riva Historical Society).Runabouts are small motorboats that were popular during the 1920s. The whole is powered by the caliber FC-303, which endows these two new versions of the Runabout Automatic with a power reserve of 38 hours. In the steel version, the stitching of the blue-gray leather strap matches this turquoise blue, while the rose gold-plated version is accompanied by a navy blue leather strap with off-white stitching. The sword-shaped hour and minute hands are coated with luminescent material, essential for navigating after the sun has set, to the rhythm of summer temperatures. The central guilloché of the Runabout Automatic, on a silver or black background, captures every ray of light and gives the dial an ever-changing relief.
From the outset, the Runabout Automatic takes up the guilloché dial with a delicate Clous de Paris motif. On its dial we find what constitutes both Geneva's watchmaking heritage and its internalized modernity. Eminently contemporary, its 42 mm diameter will suit both men and women, asserting a watchmaking relevance perfectly mastered on the wrist. This year, the collection is enriched with two new limited editions of 888 pieces of the Runabout Automatic model, in steel or rose gold plated, with an elegant and sporty style inspired by these boats. Created in 2009, the Runabout collection by Frederique Constant celebrates the history of the legendary wooden yachts built in Italy, on the shores of Lake Iseo.
